Kevin H. Choi, CLU is the Managing Partner of the Los Angeles General Office. Kevin graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Finance. Upon graduation, he became a banker for 5 years as a Customer Service manager and loan officer.
In January 6, 1997, Kevin started his career with New York Life as a Partner in the Los Angeles General Office. Kevin has won numerous awards as a Partner and he was ranked #1 Partner in the Company among 280 Sales Managers before being promoted to Senior Partner position in October of 1999.
Shortly thereafter, on July 31, 2000, Kevin was promoted to Agency Vice President in the Pacific Zone to assist in the overall operation and production of the Pacific Zone working with Senior Vice President Stephen G. Ray. In 2003, the Pacific Zone had an outstanding year and won the coveted “Zone Award of Excellence” award. Kevin is also responsible for identifying and developing Partners and Senior Partners to become a future Managing Partner. In March of ’05, Kevin was promoted to Zone Vice President.
In January of 2006, Kevin took over the Los Angeles GO and led the office to a record breaking year in total production and won the Zone Award for Management Development in 2006. Currently, the Los Angeles General Office is ranked #6 in the company in total production.
Kevin’s constant aspiration is to pursue a life of significance and impact others personally and professionally. Kevin is married to Serena, his wife of 13 years, and they have a beautiful daughter, Claudia age 12. Kevin enjoys movies, dining, and exercising.
