Jason Koo, CLU, LUTCF is a Executive Partner from the Los Angeles General Office over seeing two branches, LA, and Korea Town Offices. Jason is in charge of recruiting and developing quality agents and financial professionals into the field of corporate and individual financial and insurance planning. Jason Koo graduated from UCSD in 2001 with a major in Management Science, and a Minor in Asian Studies. Jason joined New York Life in November 2001. In 2003, Jason qualified as one of the youngest qualifiers to the honorable Million Dollar Round Table, an organization that measures the best of the best in the World of financial and insurance professionals. As an agent Jason helped over 200 clients and provided many personal and business plans for professionals and business owners. After 2 years as an agent Jason was promoted into Management as a Partner in January 2004. In Management, Jason achieved the career commitment award in 2004 an award only given to a Partner who excelled in recruiting, retention, and production, and in 2005, 06’, 08’ qualified for the Gathering of the Eagles, in recognition for the top 15 Partners in the Pacific Zone. From 2007-2010 Top 25 Partners in the Nation with honors of Top 5 in 2009 and #1 in the Nation amongst 350 Partners in 2010. Then was promoted in September of 2010 to Senior Partner and were ranked #4 out of 400 Managing Partner/Senior Partner and Partners and was promoted to Hawaii as a Managing Partner in 2013 and helped Hawaii move from top 50 to Top 40 General Office in the country out of 120 General Offices, and in 2015 was promoted to a Executive Partner position of Los Angeles General Office. Jason is involved in the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and is the current President for the Los Angeles Chapter. Board Member of Western Lion’s Club, Rotary Club and Beverly Hills Chamber Economic Development Council, Latin Business Association, UCSD alumni, APEX, and serves as a board at UCSD Ten.

Gloria has been in the Financial Services industry for 23 years. She became an insurance professional in 1989 helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals by providing strategies and solutions to simplify and enhance the quality of her clients’ lives. After 7 years of serving her community as a successful agent, she opened the Wilshire Insurance School in Los Angeles to service the insurance community at large by providing pre-requisite insurance education and licensing opportunities.
In 2002, she was recruited by a major company and was quickly promoted into a management position in less than a year. Currently, as a Partner at the Los Angeles General Office, Gloria is committed to recruiting and developing a diverse team of highly motivated individuals who share her passion to help make an impact in their communities.
Gloria obtained and maintains the following licenses: FINRA Series 6,7,63,66 and Series 24 registrations, CA L&H and CA P&C licenses.

Adam Bar joined the Los Angeles New York Life Team in May 2010, shortly after relocating from New York City, where he owned and managed a number of successful businesses. Adam’s passion as a Financial Services Professional was to help others reach financial security and independence, providing clients with strategies and tools to maximize savings and returns while minimizing taxes and risk. Mr. Bar is also driven to better the lives of others in the community; Adam is a proud member of the LA5 Rotary Club, Provisor’s, Jewish National Fund (JNF), and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JFDR). He also serves on the Board of SOSMentor.

Susan joined New York Life in 2002, in the Stockton General Office, bringing with her nearly 18 years of training, sales and management experience in the insurance industry. When expansion of General Offices in Southern California took place in 2013, Susan was offered an exciting opportunity to return to the southland, where she was born and raised, and to join the dynamic management team in the Los Angeles General Office.
As the Corporate Vice President-Insurance Group, Susan leads the new business and agency administration service teams and works closely with agents, managers, consultants, regional and Home Office personnel to ensure business is processed efficiently. “I could not have designed a more fulfilling career. Susan has been married to Eric Jackson since 1987 and they have one daughter, Natalie Rae, a graduate of SUNY Maritime College in New York City and currently a Lieutenant/Aviation Weapons System Officer in the United States Navy. In her spare time, Susan enjoys movies, wine tasting, photography and devotes time to local animal rescue/welfare efforts all while continuing her quest to explore the myriad of cultural and historical offerings that abound in this vibrant city.

Anne began her career as a successful agent in 1986 in the Pasadena General Office. She accepted the position of Trainer in 1994 and immediately won the “New Trainer of the Year” award. In 2001, the Pasadena office was merged with the Los Angeles Office, and Anne became part of the Los Angeles Management team. In keeping with New York Life’s strong commitment to professional education, Anne has earned her Masters of Science in Financial Services (MSFS), as well as CLU®, ChFC®, CLF®, CASL®, REBC® and LUTCF designations through the American College. In the 18 years Anne has been in management with New York Life, she has earned company-wide respect for her talents and skills in the areas of training and developing agents. As the Senior Director of Development in Los Angeles, Anne is responsible for delivering the New York Life training and development programs to agents at all levels of experience. Anne enjoys her role as a developer and is committed to the success of all agents in the Los Angeles General Office.

As Senior Director of Development, Anthony is in charge of ensuring that New York Life and its agents are well positioned to market themselves and to maintain our commitment to the communities we serve. Our position of strength, integrity and humanity are the cornerstone of everything we do. We are committed to our communities and to our policyholders. Anthony joined New York Life in the Portland Oregon General office in 1997. In his roles as Field Service Representative for the Portland and Salem General offices, his duties were to ensure that all agents had the technical tools to properly service their clients. In the fall of 2000 he was asked to join the San Diego General Office as Development manager. One year later he was promoted to the Idaho General Office as Sales Development Manager, and then again in 2007 to the Inland Empire General Office as Director of Development. In 2008, Anthony was asked to take on a newly created role, Market Development Director to the Greater San Francisco Office for our MEGA office operations, where he was in charge of agency and agent branding / marketing for the Downtown SF, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Fremont Offices. In January of 2013, Anthony was asked to join the Los Angeles office as Senior Director of Development. Anthony's role is to assist the Los Angeles office with creating marketing, branding and development opportunities for its insurance and financial professionals. He is also in charge of creating target market opportunities. Anthony resides in West Hollywood with his partner Robert.

James began his career as an agent with New York Life in1997 in the Los Angeles Office. In 2001, James became Agency Standards Consultant. In that capacity, James assumed the responsibility for making sure that agents and managers meet the strict regulations and rules of integrity as prescribed by the company and the various agencies that watch over them. He is very effective in making certain we meet compliance standards.
